ITALIA vote NO!

No in referendum !

Mariano Rajoy (Partido Popular) in Spain control:

-Tribunal Constitucional (7 de 12 of PP)
-Congreso y Senado
-Consejo de Estado
-Radio y Television Española (RTVE)
-Real Madrid
-5 newspapers (ABC, El Mundo, La Razón, etc.)
-IBEX 35 (Energy, Builders, Banks, etc.)

We have laws to strike civil rights, standing in a several poorness to population (50% of taxes) meanwhile rich people only pay 10% maximum.

One citizen of the people can't to get so long power because he will become a dictator.

Say NO italia!

It's glorious. The anti-establishment continues to overturn the liberal elite. 5* beats 12* :D
Come on dude, this was not a EU-related referendum.
And btw, 5* did not win, nor did any other political party.
First of all, I'm not a dude.

Second, I thought it was quite a fun joke (the 5* beats 12*).

Third, Beppe Grillo is a clear winner in this referendum - he has now the opportunity to bid for power, while Renzi's career looks as if it has turned into one big miscalculation. He's the Italian Cameron, and good riddance to him.

Fourth (and finally) of course this WAS in many ways an EU-related referendum. A civilised populist uprising against the centre left by ordinary people fed up with the erosion of democracy. They aren't stupid. They know that with the end of Renzi comes the end of his austerity measures... and a new economic crisis. The banks in Italy hold a lot of toxic debts, and may end up needing to be bailed out. If the third largest Eurozone economy needs bailing out, Europe will be in big trouble. The only way back from banking collapses is a return to the lira (albeit a devalued one) and then the Euro may well collapse, as will the European nightmare.

I predicted this precise scenario in a political speech I gave in Holland about 15 years ago, and in The Rant, a political magazine of which I used to be the editor.
I got the joke but I didn't get why you put it there

That being said, Italian economy is a disaster, which gets worse day by day. Moreover, I would not label this referendum as EU-related because EU is, unfortunately, literally everywhere today but mainly because of the inner nature of the referendum itself, which was supposed to change our Constitution.

Also, I would not consider Beppe Grillo as good as he wants to show. He explicity said 5* is neither left nor right wing, which, as history has taught us, will turn out to be a extreme-right wing party. This is of course a little speculation, but it is something I keep in mind (you might point out we do not have many other valid choices, and I would agree)

I apologise for my short sentences contrary to your relatively long statements, but I can't really keep a political dialogue up, and I would also like to say that all mystatements are 1% of what I think, I just wrote what I can explain with few words what I can barely say in Italian.
I can't WAIT for us to leave the EU. We'll invoke Article 50 in the next 3-4 months and then we're out of there! Thank GOD we didn't join the accursed Euro.

Italy will be the game-changer for the EU, I think, as a direct result of the referendum. YES, it was meant to be about a change to the constitution... but everyone knows it was really about Renzi and maintaining a power-base.

I don't consider that Grillo will turn out to be extreme right wing. The fact is, politics has been changing for quite a while. The old left vs right is dying out as politicians have to become more inventive to capture votes. I think Grillo is a clever guy. He knows that people don't like politicians any more, and he is NOT a professional politician. It's like Nigel Farage - love him or hate him, he succeeded in securing nearly 4 million votes in the General Election, and because of him we're leaving the EU. He can make blunders and no one cares!

Perhaps it's just about charisma.

You're doing very well, I realise this isn't your first language :)
