I was googling Lichess, read a comparison of Lichess and chess.com, in which no one mentions the price of chess.com. (i belong to both, incidentally). Anyhoo, i continued to google for a review of Lichess and found one on Amazon. Wondered why Lichess would be on Amazon. Turns out "Lichess" is an erotic novel based on ancient Roman times. Does anyone know where the name came from? I would like to think whoever thunk up the site named in after an erotic novel, but i'm pretty sure it isn't so. Since I haven't read the book (there's no pictures so what's the use) I don't know whether it's about a lot of Romans engaging in orgies while playing chess online, sort of sexual simul. Hmmm.
