#10 This (opposite-colored bishop draw where the timed out player has no pawns) could also be "solved" without tablebases, unless played by ICC rules...
Under FICS rules, stalemate is a win for the player with fewer pieces.
Under ICC rules, stalemate is a win for the player on move.
Under "combined" rules, stalemate is a draw unless it is a win under both rules.
Under ICC rules, the following is a win for White (White to move):
White: Bh8, Pg7
Black: Bg8
but under FICS rules it's a win for Black, and under "combined" rules it's a draw.
Under ICC rules one can only make blanket rules if neither player has pawns, or if stalemate is obviously impossible. Under FICS or "combined" rules making blanket rules is easy since all stalemate positions favor (or are neutral to) the player with the lone bishop.
