Fortun£ Friday$ February Edition Prize Winners

ChessTournamentLichess
The February edition winners from the Fortun£ Friday$ Series on lichess have been revealed.

We cannot thank you enough for the growing success of the internationally renowned Fortun£ Friday$ Series. The £1,000 February edition attracted representatives from over 32 countries and featured some of the world's best chess players, including 15 GMs, 15 IMs, 14 FMs, 9 CMs and 2 NMs. Several streamers broadcast the event, attracting thousands of digital spectators.

The event was a very close and intense battle among the top three. It was narrowly won by Russian Super Grandmaster, GM Dmitry Andreikin, who scored 85 points. He is an exceptional talent in the world of chess. Nearly breaking the 2900 FIDE barrier in blitz, in August 2012, he achieved an incredible rating of 2877.

Only 1 point behind was the Azerbaijani Grandmaster, GM Mahammad Muradli, finishing on 84 points, just one behind Dmitry. In third place, just 3 points behind the second, with 81 points, was the Peruvian Grandmaster Jose Martinez Alcantara.

Following anti-cheating checks conducted by our world-leading FIDE international arbiter, we are pleased to announce the prize winners as mentioned below.
