How about, if they are not tagged.
but.. instead of playing games vs real people, they get to play a match vs random stockfish level.
so they would go on as usual, but instead of playing people. they would play engines?
The idea that some engine user would end up playing stockfish with an engine for hours on end kinda makes me feel warm inside. xD
of course the UI would have to spoof some username and such so its not obvious that it is happening. :)
The opponent's name could be replaced with the name of another known cheater (including a link to their profile, as usual).

I'm all for it. They might only notice because their opponent keeps playing all of their moves instantly. Another idea for cheater accounts is only allow hyperbullet racing kings. XD
Before attempting to remove the mote of dust, why not create a parallel filtered community section? Users would have the option to see the dusty mote side of chess. Have the option enabled and the engine users are no longer displayed anywhere. Even the tournament results could be displayed differently. A cleansing feature for the ones that just cannot accept the fact that their will always be dust motes.
The best solution is to integrate everyone together into their wished communities. They wish to use engine, they fall into another community section and must press the option to see the other section. Best of both worlds....
Well, the cheaters already live in their own world obligated to play against another cheaters over and over... Check the last opponents of this guy for example:

In my opinion, developers made the decision to let other users to know who's cheating to prevent others to do so. Would you ever cheat if you know everybody's gonna know it? I wouldn't.
The user link says active a month ago. The player probably opened a new account and has refined their skills.

The original post was done to get new tag ideas rolling. Why try to say what already exists?
New tag ideas anyone? How about tagging them with the name "Swashbucklers".
Without removing features from the Swashbucklers, tag the Swashbuckler stats in red. Then create a default feature to omit the red stats so others can only see the real results. From the abuser point of view everything looks normal.
The Swashbuckler stats would simply not be visible to the public eye.
The Swashbuckler would be matched with others and their rating would continue to change. The Swashbuckler rating would go up or down as they wish. The other opponent shielded rating would gain a few fixed rating points to have been swashed by a known Swashbuckler.
IMO they should make a disclaimer when you sign up stating that if you cheat your ip and email address along with your lichess account will be posted on a cheaters page for all of us to see. And the only way they can get their information removed from the site it to pay $50.00USD. Also someone should just make a post with all the cheating sn's so we could block them without having to abort a game and risk getting banned. Anyone who's against my idea most likely cheats.
