Lost due to leaving game, while actively playing it

So i had just started a game and in the middle of me making a move, the game ended. I assumed the other player had left, but after checking again, it said that Black (me) left the game, which was confusing as I did not leave the game.

It happened while I was holding my pawn to move it to e4, so I could not even have left the game on accident at the time, and I am confused as to what could make this happen.

It seemed to happen a lot faster than usual. Do you not usually have some time to reconnect?

I also tend to get a notification whenever i lose connection, in addition to having the time to reconnect, and did not this time. It took only a few second from seeing my opponents move to the "left the game" notification, which is why i found it weird.

In blitz it can be pretty quickly
