What is everyone's opinion on takebacks?

Cry babies are always begging me for a takeback... I say no! and they keep sobbing and whining and making a scene... I say no! and they start calling me names and cursing...I say no! They are all so dumb and pathetic. I love to laugh in their faces.

Select "Never" for Takebacks, if you don't feel like giving takebacks or asking for one.

How can anyone call themselves a chess player and ask for a takeback? Chess and takebacks just don't go together... All these takeback fools should find another hobby like crossword puzzles or knitting or something.

Misclicks are not an excuse for demanding a takeback. A misclick is a mistake and the object of the game of chess is to not make mistakes and if you do make a mistake then just own it and play on... Do not demand a takeback! You are not entitled to a takeback! And do not regress into a crybaby throwing a temper tantrum! Grow up and play chess like adults!

There basically three kinds of chess players: Those who can't imagine asking for a takeback under any circumstances. Those who can't go a game without asking for a takeback unless they happen to be on the winning side. Those weak ambivalent ' sitting on the fence type'... they want to appease everyone and are afraid to pick a side so they talk about how sometimes they are for takebacks and sometimes they are against takebacks depending on whether or not the game is casual or rated or if it is an obvious misclick and ad nauseum....

Will always allow a takeback for something which is obviously mouseslip, but not if it is conceivable that it could have been a blunder. Will also ask for takebacks if I am in that situation.

I am interested in playing real chess (winning or losing)... mouseslips have nothing to do with the chess.

This topic has been discussed earlier. Nothing new is added so far. I want to add something new:
I once had an opponent in whose settings, all takebacks have been disabled. After blundering the queen, my opponent went back to settings and allowed takebacks but could not still request them because the button did not work. My opponent was begging in the in game chat for me to request takeback. I could not do it.
Is it a bug or intertional? It looks like takeback preferences cannot be changed for games in progress. Does anyone know any keyboard shortcut to temporarily allow takebacks?
