Someone please explain.....

#1 → In this case, there is none. But, in *obvious* mouse-slips, I do give takebacks, simply because I'd like to be granted takebacks if I mouse-slips. 'Treat others the way you'd wish to be treated'.
I never asked for a takeback and never offered a draw. Mouse-slips and mistakes are part of the game, and for the draw i just play on until 3 repetition, 50 move or flag...
in a game a while back i meant to take an opponent's rook with my rook. Instead, of rxd8 i played rd7 as an obvious mouslip. This is the time when takebacks are good.
My first 200-300 games I had takebacks on. I'm not kidding when I say every single day opponents would request takeback. Or almost every single day. Constantly.

Glad I turned that shit off!
Well, one out of ten times, it's not complete shit. I wish my opponents would understand mouse-slips as I do.
Is there anyone who actually grants take-backs in rated games?

Perhaps only in situations where the opponent is lost no matter what he does and suddenly he requests a take-back.

It is a wise decision to completely disable take-backs in order to avoid unnecessary insults. Some people get very rude in the ingame chat and send very rude private massages for a long time cursing me for not granting a take-back.

Soon afterwards, these people usually start using chess engine assistance and get swiftly banned. Then they very busy complaining in the forums and finally forget the game where I haven't granted them a take-back.
I have more respect for woodlice or intestinal parasites than for take-back askers
I think it depends on your motivation for playing chess. If your goal is to climb the rating lists, then to accept a take-back is absolute folly. If your goal is enjoyment, then there is little reason to reject a take-back request. I usually accept, and though I've lost some games because of it, I find I have become a better player by learning how to play through the game without relying on an opponent's blunder.
However, I do understand that it is bad form to request a take-back after a blunder, so I personally don't ask for them. As with most things in life, take-backs are only a problem when people abuse them.
If you played ranked party, then return the move.
In the chess code - FIDE move is not returned.
Only if it is impossible.
Even Nakamura and Topalov was able to see this in 2016.
If you play not to score - friendly party, then you can return the course back.
But I will never ask for a move back as it is my choice.
If I yawn, you need to answer.
