Many thanks for the permanent and great further development of this site, now especially in the area of transmission.
It would be very nice if we could still select the language in the chat for the transmissions. For example, there is a very active German-speaking community of former chess24 viewers who would be very happy about this. They have also founded a group on lichess: German-chess24-chatter

Good idea
I once created a (non-official) broadcast with a live PGN file from a smaller tournament and its possibly weak web server. I didn't want to create to much load on the server by having Lichess pull several megabytes of data every few seconds and therefore activated and deactivated the pulling manually. It would be a nice feature to allow specifying a larger polling interval.
Or does specifying a delay decrease the polling frequency? That would suffice.

I mourn the video commentary/games/chat trio that I loved at Chess24.
However, there's no lack of chess goodness on Lichess, rest assured.

I am loving the changes made to the broadcast
It will only get better in the future
Would be great
a) if you could add video links for broadcasts
b) have your own broadcasts
c) Pop out the chat window (useful when using dual screens) or Resize the chat window
Currently Lichess is my go to website for watching broadcasts.

Above all, the improvements in the broadcasts of the team competitions are really outstanding!! The lichess development team has once again done a great job.

Hey, danke für Deinen Vorschlag! Tatsächlich wurden Sprach-spezifische Chats bereits diskutiert, allerdings haben wir uns vorerst dagegen entschieden, weil diese auch einige Nachteile mit sich bringen (mehr Moderationsarbeit, Fragen wie in welchen Sprachen bietet man Chats an (und hat man Moderatoren für diese Sprachen), wesentlich weniger Engagement der User pro Chat, weil alle ja auf die verschiedenen Chats verteilt wären, weniger Austausch zwischen verschieden-sprachigen Leuten usw.). Es freut uns aber zu hören, dass ihr euch auf Lichess gut eingefunden habt!
